Marijn Dekkers - Chairman

Marijn is Chairman of Novalis Capital Partners which he founded in 2017. He is a board member of several Novalis LifeSciences portfolio companies. Marijn is the former CEO of Bayer AG in Leverkusen, Germany (2010-2016) and the former CEO of Thermo Fisher Scientific (2002-2009) in Waltham, MA, USA. He was also Chairman of Unilever (2016-2020) in London, UK. Marijn started his career as a scientist at General Electric Corporate Research in Niskayuna, NY, USA. He earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering and a BS in Chemistry, both in the Netherlands.

 
 

Paul Meister - Partner

Paul is a partner at Novalis LifeSciences since 2021. He is co-founder of Liberty Lane Partners, a private investment company, and Chairman of Arbor Biotechnologies and Amneal Pharmaceuticals. Previously Paul served as Chairman of Thermo Fisher Scientific and Vice Chairman of Fisher Scientific International. He also served as Chairman and CEO of inVentiv Health (now Syneos Health). Paul earned an MBA from Northwestern University and a BA from the University of Michigan.

 
 

Constantine G. (Dino) Pantelis - COO

Dino has been with Novalis Capital Partners since 2017, and became COO in 2021. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President at Jordan Park Trust Company, responsible for daily operations of the company. Previously, Dino has held leadership positions in several financial services companies, including Perspecta Trust, Congress Trust, and Atlantic Trust. He received a BA from Boston University with majors in Political Science and Philosophy. 

 
 

Devin Leake - Managing Director

Devin joined Novalis LifeSciences as Managing Director in 2021. Previously, Devin was Chief Scientific Officer at CATALOG, where he led research on its DNA-based data storage and computation platform. Before, Devin served in leadership positions at several Life Science companies including Ginkgo Bioworks and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Devin earned a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from SUNY Stony Brook, and a BA in Biochemistry from the University of Texas.

 
 
 

Christel Morley - Business Operations Manager

Christel joined Novalis LifeSciences as the Business Operations Manager in 2023. Previously, Christel was the Director of Finance at a holistic healthcare startup. Her career started at Deloitte and continued at a multi-family office as a Chief Administrator. Christel earned a BS in Accounting from Boston College and is a national volunteer with Operation HOPE.

Michael McGuire – Senior Analyst

Michael joined Novalis LifeSciences as Senior Analyst in 2022. Previously, Michael was a Fund Controller at Standish Management, where he was responsible for the financial reporting and administrative operations of Venture Capital funds. Previously, Michael held positions at Deloitte Tax and State Street. Michael earned a MS in Accounting and a BS in Management from the University of Massachusetts-Boston.

 
 
 

Michael Alter - Senior Analyst

Michael joined Novalis LifeSciences as a Senior Analyst in 2022. Previously, Michael was an Investment Manager at Albany Capital, a venture capital firm focused on Healthcare and Life Sciences. Prior to that, Michael worked as an Investment Analyst at Ellerston Capital, a fund manager in Sydney, Australia. Michael attended Monash University in Melbourne, Australia where he earned dual degrees, with a LLB in Law and a BA in Commerce, majoring in Finance.

Greg Herrema - Senior Advisor

Greg joined Novalis LifeSciences as a senior advisor in 2022. He spent the past 20 years at Thermo Fisher Scientific as Senior Vice President leading a number of large businesses including Customer Channels, Biosciences, and Analytical Instruments. Before that, Greg worked at General Electric in various General Manager and commercial roles. Greg earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech.

 
 
 

Kieran Murphy - Senior Advisor

Kieran joined Novalis LifeSciences as a senior advisor in 2023. He has more than 30 years experience in the Life Sciences and Medtech Industries. Most recently he served as President and CEO of GE Healthcare before his retirement in 2021. Kieran now acts as Chairperson for several PE owned companies and as advisor for Novalis.
